Homeless Camped Out on Rampart St.

John 15:13 says, “There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.”

Obeying Jesus sometimes requires us to take “risks” that we might otherwise seek to avoid. When your “friends” are the broken, the hurting, the abandoned or the homeless – this is a situation that is presented on a regular basis.

Because of the Covid-19 Pandemic that has caused much of the world to be turned on their heads, the Body of Christ has been afforded the opportunity to step into opportunities wherein we were called and commissioned to demonstrate the heart of the Lord Jesus Christ.

There are a group of men that have “camped” out on Rampart St here in New Orleans underneath a decommissioned Trolley Car waiting area. They wait for me to show up each day with something to eat because their world has also been seriously impacted by world events.

They are always grateful and they always want to take the time to pray.
